Sunday School
Sunday School is one of the most important hours of the week at West Lynchburg Baptist Church. Through Sunday School you can develop meaningful friendships, deepen your understanding of God’s purpose for your life, and discover your place of ministry within the church. There is a group for everyone, and you can participate even if you are not a member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church. To find the Sunday School small group that is right for you, please consult the table below, or visit our welcome center any Sunday morning beginning at 9:30 AM. For help in finding the meeting room for your group, simply ask one of the greeters posted at the building entrances. Unless otherwise indicated, all groups meet at 9:45 AM.
About our curriculum:
The primary textbook for all of our Sunday School classes is the Bible. Most of our classes use one of the following Bible-study approaches:
*Bible Studies for Life (BSL) - A topic-driven approach which uses a study of Bible books, people, doctrine, and history to apply biblical truths to issues faced in daily life. This curriculum is tailored to the life-stage of each group that uses it.
*Explore the Bible (ETB) - A systematic, comprehensive chapter-by-chapter study of the Bible. Each quarter we alternate between an Old Testament book and a New Testament book.
*Life Focus (LF) - A specially-designed curriculum which uses the Bible to address the developmental needs of teenagers.
* MasterWorks (MW) - An innovative curriculum produced by Lifeway Christian Resources that uses readings from best-selling Christian authors as springboards into biblical application.
